Melody started acting at a young age. At the age of 14, she was already nominated for a Golden Calf for Best Actress for the art-house film ‘Diep’ (Deep). Many beautiful roles followed.

She graduated from the Toneelacademie Maastricht in 2014 and won the ‘Kemna’ Award for Most Promising Actor in the Netherlands and Belgium at the ITS Festival. She appeared in several films and television series, including ‘Schemer’ and ‘Oorlogswinter’ by Martin Koolhoven, for which she won a ‘Rembrandt’ Award for Best Actress. For her leading role in the international feature film ‘Rafaël,’ directed by Ben Sombogaart, she received the Golden Calf for Best Actress in 2019. In early 2020, Melody toured the country with the play ‘Othello’ by Het Nationaal Theater.

In recent years, Melody has been seen in productions such as ‘Judas II,’ ‘Het Gouden Uur’ (The Golden Hour), and ‘Nood’ (Emergency). Melody also released her debut novel, ‘A Common Night Butterfly: With a Somewhat Unusual Story.’ There are plans to adapt the book into a film. In 2023, she played leading roles in the international futuristic series ‘Arcadia’ and the crime thriller ‘Incognito.’ In 2024, Melody will be seen in the mini-series ‘Een moord kost meer levens’ (A Murder Costs More Lives) and the new drama series ‘Zussen’ (Sisters). Starting in the fall of 2023, she will begin filming Arcadia 2 in Belgium.
